Children for Peace (C4P) is a child- and youth-centred peacebuilding organisation working across Sub-Saharan Africa. We protect rights, strengthen social cohesion and support children, adolescents and young people to take part safely and meaningfully in building peaceful communities.

Our belief
Children and young people should never carry the burden of resolving conflicts created by adults. But they have the right to learn about peace, express their views, build respectful relationships and contribute – safely and voluntarily – to more inclusive communities.

How we work
C4P works at community, country and regional levels. In communities we collaborate with children, young people, caregivers, schools and local organisations. In countries we work with civil society, public institutions and service providers. Across Sub-Saharan Africa we share learning, connect practitioners and adapt effective approaches to different languages, cultures and contexts.
Our commitment
Every activity puts the safety, dignity, rights and best interests of children and young people first. Participation is meaningful only when people can speak freely, choose whether to take part, understand how their views will be used and raise concerns through safe channels.

How we measure impact
C4P measures more than activities delivered. We seek to understand whether children and young people feel safer and more included, whether their participation is meaningful, whether adults respond appropriately and whether community relationships improve.
