Safeguarding & Accountability
Our commitment
Every activity puts the safety, dignity, rights and best interests of children and young people first. Participation is meaningful only when people can speak freely, choose whether to take part, understand how their views will be used and raise concerns through safe channels.
Children and youth participate; adults remain responsible
C4P recognises children and young people as capable contributors. Adults, institutions and authorities retain responsibility for their protection and wellbeing. Our programmes offer age-appropriate ways to express views, learn peacebuilding skills and shape activities. Adults must ensure safe environments, respond to protection concerns and never transfer dangerous responsibilities to children or young people.
Online safety principles for the signature platforms
- Age-appropriate design and default-private settings for under-18s.
- No contact between adults and under-18s outside moderated, organisation-controlled channels.
- No collection of precise location data from minors.
- Clear in-page route to report a concern or request content removal.
- Regular safeguarding review of all platform content and features.
Raise a concern
If a child or young person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency or child-protection services. A dedicated safeguarding contact will be published only after a trained focal point and safe response process are confirmed.
